What stays on your device
- Your library, reading progress, history, bookmarks, downloaded chapters, settings and fonts you import.
- Automatic backups, saved in Mieru's own folder or a folder you choose.
- Cookies and sign-ins for websites you open inside Mieru's browser.
- We cannot see or access any of this. Deleting the app deletes it.
Translation
- Text detection, text recognition and translation run on your device, using on-device models and Apple's Translation framework. Page images and their text are never sent to us.
- Apple may download language files to your device the first time you use a language pair; Apple's privacy policy applies to that download.
Websites you visit
- Like any browser, Mieru connects directly to the websites you open. Those sites see your IP address and may set cookies under their own privacy policies.
- Your browsing never passes through our servers, and we do not record which sites or pages you visit.
Files Mieru downloads from us
Mieru downloads site-support rules, ad-blocking lists and on-device text models from our content network at cdn.easier.today (served by Cloudflare). These requests contain nothing about you beyond what any web request carries, such as your IP address in the network's standard short-lived logs.
Anonymous usage statistics
- Mieru uses Google Firebase Analytics to learn which features are used and where the app has problems — for example, that Read Mode was opened or that a chapter was translated.
- This includes an app-install identifier generated by Firebase, device model, iOS version, app version, language, approximate country, and feature events.
- It never includes comic titles, page or chapter addresses, website names, or anything you read. It is not linked to your identity, not used for advertising, and not sold. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Reports you choose to send
- Report a broken page: sends the page address and a snapshot of the page's structure so we can fix support for that site. You see the full report before it is sent.
- Report a translation problem: sends the chapter address, page number, source and target languages, translation settings, app and iOS versions, and the note you type. It does not include page images or the text of the page.
- Reports are sent only when you tap Send, carry no account or name, are stored on our backend (Supabase), are used only to fix the problem, and are deleted within 12 months.
What we don't do
No accounts or sign-up. No advertising and no ad identifiers (IDFA). No tracking across other companies' apps or websites. No selling or sharing of data with data brokers.
This website
mieru.easier.today sets no cookies and runs no advertising or analytics scripts. It is served by Cloudflare, whose servers keep standard short-lived logs such as IP addresses. We use Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to see which searches lead people here; those tools report totals from the search engines and add nothing to these pages. Links to the App Store carry a campaign name (for example ct=web-home) so Apple can tell us how many downloads came from each page, without identifying anyone.
Children
Mieru is a general-purpose web browser and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can delete everything Mieru keeps on your device by deleting the app. To ask us to delete a report you sent, email us with the approximate date and website — reports carry no account, so this is how we find it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
